RATINGS & REVIEWS
92 Points, Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion - 'Fully destemmed and fermented in small open vats; matured in French barriques (10% new) for 11 months. From the first whiff – and with its bouquet of dark fruits, licorice, olive tapenade and spices – you're getting good bang for your buck! It's a crowd pleaser on the palate, too. Juicily fruited, there's just the right among of plush tannin and fresh acidity to keep it balanced. A wine to enjoy now and over the next 3–5 years'.
90 Points, Gary Walsh, Winefront - 'It’s labour day here in NSW, so I thought doing some reviews was appropriate. A labour of love, perhaps. Blue and black fruit, peppercorn and spice, some grilled meat. It’s medium-bodied, a slight green capsicum thing runs through dark fruit, the tannin is soft and sooty, and it finishes with solid length. It speaks of Geelong Shiraz at modest price. It’s good'.
92 Points, Huon Hooke, The Real Review - '{C}Deep, bright purple-red hue. A highly attractive bouquet of smoked meats/charcuterie, mixed brown spices including pepper, clove and cinnamon, the palate medium bodied and elegantly cast, with focused intensity and excellent drinkability. The tannins are present and well-moulded to the flavour'.
